Can Someone Point The Way

On the System Properties page (Win key + Pause) on the Auto Updates tab everything is grayed out - inaccessable. It's not that I want to use this feature because I don't (that's why I disable it in the first place), I just cannot remember how I disabled it, and would like to know how to turn it back on only for the knowledge. I hate forgetting how to manage things on my own OS. Apparently I have not had XP long enough.

on the automatic updates tab of the system properties there is a checkbox that says something like keep my computer up to date. You want that box checked, it should allow you to use the automatic update. next thing you need to do is dump xp home, and get xp pro.

That did it, Sue. Thank you both! I don't know how I missed that, I had gone through the Services list twice. I will not forget that again.
