this just started happening for no apparent reason--when i connect to the internet and open IE 6.0, i am unable to browse to any sites that are not secure (i.e. i can only browse to sites beginning with https as opposed to http). i reset the defaults in my security settings and all other connections work: ftp, icq, yahoo messenger, etc. but i simply cannot browse to normal web sites. what could be causing this?

In IE, click Tools from the menu bar->Internet Options->Advanced tab-> Under Settings and under HTTP 1.1 item, clear those two check boxes.

Bye
