Hi,
My friend has a very strange problem here..
We were just surfing the internet and then i installed the "Alcohol 120%" program, the setup asked me to reboot so i did...
But then after it restarted it booted up in safe-mode, so i shut it down and restarted it, but it again booted up in safe-mode without asking...
So then i tried tapping F8 while booting and selected "Start Windows normally" but still it booted up in safe mode...
Even when i select "Safe-mode with internet capabilities" it boots up the normal safe-mode so internet doesn't work either...I tried system restore but this aparently doesn't work in safe-mode so no help from that either...
So if anyone knows please help!
Thanks.

You might want to try a repair install

Then all you have to do is re-install the critical up-dates.
Good LuckHopefully my advice will help you...Please post back with your results....thanks

Couple things to try:
While in Safe Mode, try hit Ctrl+Alt+Del keys at same time to bring up task manager then click on Shutdown tab and select Restart.Try System Restore from safe mode command prompt.
At the Windows Advanced Options menu.
Use the up and down arrow keys to move the highlighted choice.
Safe Mode
Safe Mode with Networking
Safe Mode with Command Prompt
Enable Boot Logging
Enable VGA mode
Last Known Good Configuration (your most recent settings that worked)
Directory Services Restore Mode (Windows domain controllers only)
Debugging ModeAt the safe mode command prompt type:
%systemroot%\System32\restore\rstrui.exe
Press Enter and follow the restore options.

I had a similar problem a while back. Some program had edited my boot.ini file to 'normally' boot into safe mode. It was just doing what it was told to do. To check to see if this is the case, goto Start> Run> msconfig [Enter] and click on the Boot.ini Tab and ensure that the Safeboot check box is clear.
If that's not it... no other ideas from me.
