can not open INBOX on yahoo or msn

hello everybody, I got a weird problem on my computer. Ever since I installed a fresh copy of WIN XP PRO on my computer, I can not open my INBOX on yahoo or msn or mail.com. I can go to any website but it won't let me check my emails. I didn't even downloaded SP1 or SP2. I have AVAST antivirus (free version) and Sygate Personal Firewall (free version). My ISP is verizon dsl. I didn't change any settings. Everything is default. Can anybody help me ?

Sounds like a problem with cookies. check explorer options and see if you happened to have cookies disabled. In TOOLS - internet options - PRIVACY tab. If its set to high chances are its blocking cookies. I set my cookies to prompt. These are the files that keep you logged in. Make sure you have them enabled.
