can not associate any program!!

hello, I have a problem it seems no one can solve. I can not associate any program for openning *.mid files(midi files) each time a associate a program the next time Windows asks me there is no program associated with this kind of file. and when I go to registry and then to HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT and then to ".mid" folder I get following error:
