Can I uninstall the Java 5 updates?

Hey y'all, I updated Java 5 to Java 6, and now I'm wondering if I can remove all the updates to Java 5. (Full program name: J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0) Will it cause any problems? They're quite many, and each one is taking up some space on the harddrive. I'm thinking that all the updates for Java 5 should be in the new Java 6. Thanks for any help. :) //Kimmi

You can uninstall all Java 5 installations. Leave only Java 6 installation.
Later when you have updates to Java 6, you can also uninstall all Java 6 installations except the latest update.

just go to the add/remove programs and click on the application the version of java that you want to uninstall.click on remove and it would take around 35 seconds for it to uninstall and then after uninstalling then try to restart the system.
the other way would be when u install the greater version it would autommatically uninstall the older version and then would continue with the new version installatiion.
