My PC wouldn't boot up this morning it said something about my Windows root\system32\hal.dll missing or was corrupt. To cut a long stroy short I ended up loading XP again and this time it has swaped my C: D:
partition drives around and I can see the old windows version on D: I copied and pasted the new hal.dll over to the Windows root\system32\hal.dll on my D: and replaced the old one. My next question is can I drop drag the old windows over the new one "OR" can I swap the drives back around just so I don't have to reinstall everything again.

No when I look at the Dir on my C: drive there is a dir called email when I click that there is another Dir called outlook express and inside it it has a number of *.dbx files there. But when I open outlook express no they don't show up there although I would like to get them there I just haven't worked out how to import them into the new setup.

I'm figuring that you somehow have a dual boot situation but there is something wrong that it doesn't let you have the choice to boot to the first one. Can you copy the contents of your boot.ini and paste it so we can see if it has two operating systems on it.
