Just reinstall Java and see if that solves the problem.

Hmm, you could have bad sectors that is reporting file space improperly. Try doing an in-depth disk scan with CheckDisk. To achieve this, click Start > Run and type chkdsk /r. Windows will ask you if you want to do a disk scan on the next reboot. Press Y and restart your computer.
I recommend you restart and let it scan while you're busy or sleeping, as the disk scan plus "repairing" bad sectors will take about 2-3 hours.
Report back on how it went, and I'll show you where to find the information for the disk scan results, OK? :)
