Comment:
There is a hidden system folder named System Volume Information in my C parent directory which takes up 1.63 GB. In it contains a folder named "_restore{85E8A74A-5B5D-4C1E-A94F-B8F211132D1F}" and in there are 10 folders named RP10 to RP19. And there are text files named drivetable.txt and fifo.log. Any idea what it is? Can i delete the folder? I resized the partition using Partitition Magic about 1 month ago, does it has anything to do with the folder?
And there is pafefile.sys which takes up 1 GB in the parent directory. Is it save to delete this as well?

Your best & safest bet is to put each of those names into google.

Those are your restore points for the "system restore" feature, leave the folder(s) alone.
If you want to recover drive space by removing all your restore points, you can periodically turn off "system restore", shut down, reboot and reenable it.
I agree; computing.net does need an edit button.

"If you want to recover drive space by removing all your restore points, you can periodically turn off "system restore", shut down, reboot and reenable it."
This is true but could be considered a bit radical because you will lose all your restore points which you might come to regret.
As a safer alternative you can simply delete any or all points EXCEPT the newest one.
Another way is to right click on your C:\ drive then Properties/Disk Cleanup/More Options then choose the last option under System Restore.
