Can I combine my two local disks?

My computer has local disk c(4gb) and local disk d(6gb) after installing windows xp into c: only have 800mb of free space however c: gets full very easy even though I install most of the software in d:. Can I combine the disks so they work as one disk? and how if it's possible. Please HELP!!

Yes, u can convert ur drives to a single 'volume' by converting to 'Dynamic' disks in disk management.

OUCH !! dont like dynamic disk idea .. try partition magic 8 and "merge" the two partitions

Do a clean custom install of XP to drive D plus any software - this will free up drive C to store your files. Reasons for this include:

1 If re-installing XP reqiured NO files will be lost - stored on seperate drive.

2 A clean custom install of XP and other software - will allow you to cut down the amount of disk space required.

Hope this helps.

PS my disk space is under 6GB this includes - XP, Office 2000, Photoshop, Pagemaker and others.
