I'm an administrator of a networkw ith 5-6 people, i currently use a system, wher ei have a folder on a users desktop where they have shortcuts to all their applications. Is it possible, for me to make a fancy flash movie, which has animated icons which users can click on and open their programs taht way?

Of course it is pobbisble. I have seen it done on my friends computer where he had an icon on his desktop which had a simple video clip( cartoon) playing which was displaying what the icon was for. Hope that helps
