I can find my documents but when I "open" them or try to, I get a message that says that file is "unavailable;" or says that I have made changes to Global template. I have tried "restoring;" I have gone to "tools" and tried to adjust settings for saving; nothing seems to work. I tupe a new document and "saeve as" and it still says that such file is not available.

Hi Tony, I suppose you're using XP, although you did not say. Are the problem 'documents' of type .DOC and associated with MS Word? Or does this problem occur with files of many / all types? M2

I assume you are referring to WORD documents. What version of Word ? If Word 2002, you can try to open and repair your files. 1. On the File menu, click Open 2. Click the file you want to open 3. Click the arrow on the Open button, and then click Open and Repair If that doesn't work, then try searching for and deleting any files named NORMAL.DOT Krystyna
