Can delete files, but cannot copy

This only happens to video files. I can delete them, but cannot copy or move or view them. It gives me "Access is denied" when i try to copy or move. And when i try to play, Windows Media Player gives me "File not found" error.
All these files are currently on my D: drive. I used to have this drive as my system drive.
Any clue what causes this? Thank you very much. Norman

Could it be the security permissions on the video file?
