Hi i have a problem with java. I have went threw at least 20 maybe 30 other posts about java an some have a similar problem with java that i am having but none of them where the exact problem i have been having with java. Just wanted to make that clear so no one can go an tell me to read the other posts with java. ON TO MY PROBLEM.
First off let me tell everyone who takes the time to read this i have tryed reinstalling java, downloading the newest versions of java virtual machine and the java sun from http://java.sun.com so dont give me any links to the java virtual machine microsofts web site or the java sun.com i have been there done that. I have also deleted my temporary internet files, deleted cookies an history to hopefully some how clear any corruption i was having viewing this one site called www.wolfhome.com i can see start up page thats fine then i login to use the java chats that also comes up no problems but when i go to use the java chats it opens up a window looks like its working yet all i get is a white webpage nothing comes up an at the bottom left hand corner of the site it says done pretty sure it means its just done loading the site. Anyway my security level I tryed putting that on the lowest security level an also enabling java using custom its already enabled. That site that uses java for chats i guess uses some kind of java applet i am baffled what the problem is i have even downloaded other browsers such as netscape and mozilla at first it thought i was going to be able to use the wolfhome.com chats with one of them browsers since it got a little farther then internet explorer. What i got once the java applet loaded was a black screen an a box in the bottom left hand corner where you would be able to communicate with the people in wolfhome.com chat but it only got as far as loading a black background with the box in the left hand corner to talk i still cant see anything or see what im typing.
If anyone knows of maybe something that is blocking me from entering wolfhome.com java chat please e-mail me at berserker189@comcast.net. I e-mailed the site im having the problem with viewing i still havent goten a reply some thats why im asking you the people for help lol.
I dont use firewall or antivirus protection or a proxy i use a comcast cable modem direct connection if that helps you any.
If anyone can fix this i would greatly appreciate it all of your opinions would be helpful i am pretty good at fixing my problems but this is the only problem i have come acrossed that i cant fix. Once again my e-mail berserker189@comcast.net thanks for taking the time to read this.

Is this the only page that java isn't working on?
If your not sure you can goto my homepage and click on the "Have you seend me?" link. If it works your java is fine and their site is messed up.
Sandman

there should be a little java icon(a black and white character) in the quick start menu at the right side of the menu bar. If you click on it, it should give you a list of instructions.. and one them should be a memory dump or something that gives you an error message.. maybe that will give you a hint as to whats going wrong.
also, maybe you need to revert back to an older jre thats more stable.

Mark, Just to add to Sandman's Response go the the JAVA TEST link below my name and see if your browser passes both the Java Script & Java Applet Test. If it does there probably is no problem with your system. Another thing to try is open IE/View and make sure your encoding is set to "Western European (Windows).

Or maybe the java script on that page is messed up? Have you tried it from another Java enabled PC?
