Camcorder software install/uninstall problem

December 6, 2009 at 20:00:42
Specs: Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition, 3 GHz / 2046 MB
I have A Panasonic Camcorder and the software that came with it is supposed to let you edit the disks in the camera. I installed it when I got the camera but never tried to use it until now. It won't load the part of the software called DVD-MovieAlbum used for editing. I contacted Panasonic and they won't help me. They say I have to go to the place who sold me the camera. So much for support.

Anyway I did a remove in Add and Remove programs, but it wouldn't totally remove it. When I try to reinstall it says the software is already installed but all Add and Remove Programs shows is a listing for Software for DVD Camera and shows only.06MB as the content. So now I can't get it off and can't reinstall it.

If anyone can help please do. I'm not sure if the disk is not corrupted now. Also if there is any other way to Edit the disks I need to know.

Thanks for your help

Jim Smith
