cambridge amp to pc connection

i have connected my amplifer to my pc, but i am getting a loud humming noise even at one third of maximun volume ,how can i remedy this problem ?

Earth the amplifier. Most amplifiers have a terminal for this purpose.

If that doesn't work, you might need a ground loop isolator like the following:
