cable internet not working on xp

CPU/Ram: intel p4 2.4/ 765mb pc270

for some reason my internet connection will not work on my xp partition but it will work on my 98 partition. they are both on the same computer so i know it is not a hardwear problem. it was working yesterday then it just stopped after i ran a spywear remover to remove spywear. i have a cable connection (roadrunner). what should i do HELP!!!

Have you tried using the XP networking wizard to setup the connection again?

Go to Start, control panel, network connections, create new connection. Hope this helps
