Hi, I need to update my audio driver... I know the audio is c media ac97, but I'm unsure about the 'chipset'. When I access the website for the update, I'm unsure about which download I actually need. Is there some utility that can pin point the exact specs of my audio card. Thanks in advance to all input.

Yes! For some reason I am not able to hear media sounds. (This probably sounds [no pun intended] inane) When I go to the control panel, I CAN play the sounds, but they won't work with the associated functions. Perhaps there IS some other problem...???

If you do not get any audio when playing videos, it is more likely that you do not have the correct codec for that video format.

Ham30... I'm having no problems with anything except media sounds. :-( And that is what's stumping me, since everything else (Winamp, Windows Media Player, RealPlayer. PowerDVD, Internet Radio) is working.
