I am the only user on my computer. I want to bypass the windows login & welcome screen and just go into my windows operating system.
How do I do that?
ddragon2@rochester.rr.com

Type control userpasswords2 in the run dialog box, uncheck "users must enter a username and password to use this computer", hit apply, ok and you're done.

only way I can think of to bypass the welcome screen is to
use hibernate ,enable it in control panel,
power options, then when shutting down, press the shift key ,and the stand-by choice becomes hibernate.
then:
Disabling prompt for password after Windows XP resumes from standby or hibernationClick Start, Settings, and Control Panel
Double click Power Options
Uncheck the "Prompt for password when computer resumes from standby" option.
Click Apply and then Ok.

if you just want to skip the password at startup:
Disabling startup login prompt for passwordClick Start, and Run
Type "Control Userpasswords2" and press enter.
Uncheck the box for "Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer."
Click Apply and Ok
