Bypass password on desktop donated to church

Specs: Windows XP
older computer donated to our church. They do not remember the password to get to the desktop?

open up the desktop case and remove the bios battery from the motherboard (looks about the size of a nickle) for 30 seconds and then replace it. That should remove the bios password if there is one. (You will have to reset your clock, etc after that

If it is the sign in password, try tapping f8 on startup and select safe mode. Then go into user accounts and delete that user.

If neither works, you will have to reformat and put in a new operating system

try typing in administrator and leave the password blank. See if that can get you in.

safe mode will make no difference to logon accounts or their passwords.

web search forgot xp password for other options which we do not support in these forums.

Not too many sites are going to tell how to bypass a's like giving a kid the key to the cookie jar.

Anyone than can have access to everyone elses computer.
