Hello! I have a Kodak EasyShare C340 digital camera. I installed the Kodak EasyShare software that came with the camera, but did not like it, so I finagled my computer so that Kodak EasyShare would not be the default viewer. However, now I do not now how to upload my photos from the camera directly into Microsoft Photo Editor so I can save them in My Pictures. I do not want to download any other software as a replacement for Kodak EasyShare. I want to bypass this altogether and just save them directly to My Pictures. Any suggestions would be very helpful and thank you in advance!

in case your Kodak camera is NOT recognized as a removable storage device (which allows you to use copy/cut and paste) you can always use a card reader to copy/move files from or to the memory chip.

Your camera should be assigned a drive letter, just as any other external device is. Just access the drive and appropriate folder to copy and paste your photos to whatever location you wish.

Life is more painless for those who are brainless.

i remember my old kodak easyshare camera that did not work as a removable storage device. could only be accessed thru the ms scanner & camera wizard or that infamous easyshare software.

a cardreader did the trick for me :-)

The problem here is the driver for the digital camera. It does not exist as a stand alone software. It is associated with the Kodak Easy share software. If you can find the stand alone driver for your camera then you can install that. Now you will be able to use the MS Scanner and Camera Wizard which will let you copy direct to a folder of your choice.

If you cannot find the proper driver then get yourself a card reader as mentioned above and copy pics to any folder.

I didn't realize that I could access the camera as a drive in My Computer. It was there, and I was able to get all of my pictures off the camera and save them in My Pictures. Thank you all very much for your help! :)
