Hello,
I have programs that i would like to burn to a DVD.
How do i burn these programs to a DVD so that when an OS reads it, i can open the folder of which all my progs are in, WITHOUT it wanting to use the program i used to burn those progs to the disc??
For example: If i use NERO "back it up" feature to burn the prog's to DVD, and then insert the DVD into another PC, it wont open the files without the prog that created the backup (NERO).
I would like it so that when the DVD loads, i have a choice which program off that disk i would like to install. I'm just putting the Setup files of those progs on there.
Is there software or something els i might need.
Help is appreciated
THX!

Very clever, uppercrust.
Walka, to do this you don't need to use Nero's backup feature. You want to burn it as a regular data DVD with an autoplay menu. You can create one with this. I'm sure there are other programs that can do it as well.

"thats like wanting the ford plant to put out chevrolets" lol
Right, but if you would slow down and read CAREFULLY what i am saying & asking is, Is there a way i can do this WITH or WITHOUT NERO. I was not insisting on using NERO, I was using it as an example.I understand that the program used to compress and burn the prog's to disc is what you will use to unzip and open those particular files.
Thx anyway and Thx alot iamc, :)

I believe that iamc answered your question. You don't use Nero's (or any other) Backup feature. You also don't need to compress anything. Simply burn burn a data DVD with all the Setup files you rquire included. It is the simplest procedure you can perform with a CD/DVD burner. Use any burning software you like. The steps involved may differ, but the method doesn't change: select "Data DVD", add files, burn.
