i got some image files..and not too sure the proper way to burn them onto cd/dvd. i tried with clone cd but dont have the necessary files. some are just single files..that have .ISO and .MDF extensions...whats the best way to burn these files and still work correctly once burnt!
If at first you don't succeed, simply give up and let me do it!!!

You don't burn ISO and MDF files the same way you burn other data files. Most burner programs have a special option for ISO files that you have to select. I'm not sure about MDF files. You might have to convert them to ISO. MDF files sometimes come with a companion MDS file and the pair might be burnable.
Do yourself a favor BACKUP!

I just used this the other day to burn Vista RC1 .img (2.52GB) to DVDRW.
I found that the Sonic burner software that came with my PC did not come with that feature. I go into Backup and look for Burn Image, as instructed when looking in it's Help file, to find it has the word "Upgrade" next to it. I click and they want $29 to add that feature.
I tried the one offered by Per noted above but it did not play out properly (I forget what my complaint was) but the one I have noted was simple, free and very effective. Vista RC1 is up and running on my other hard drive.
