I have just tried to write some .wav files from the c drive to the CDR as .CDA files. XP has firstly converted the files to a "ready to burn status" (or similar words.) Then it copied all the .wav files onto the CDR. It then has copied the first file as a .cda before the disc was full. The burner works fine (explorer shows all .wav files & 1 .cda) so it must be me. I also followed the help section included in xp to the letter and the same result came out. Burner works, so therefore it must be something I'm (not) doing. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Sounds like you are trying to burn too many files on the CD. Use a different program such as Nero or Easy CD Creator, you won't have to mess with converting to .wav files and such.
