Hey everyone,
I got 2 pcs at home and I just reformatted the other one (installed xp pro on it, it's a 466 mhz with 256 ram). Everything is fine except it can't run cds burnt on this pc, but seems to run original cds. I used ahead nero to burn all my cds. Anything i can do to get around that?

try installing nero on it, even if it doesn't have a burner.

Your CDROM is too old to recognize the burned CD. Just for the fun of it try this....put a store bought CD in this CDROM your talking about and just as soon as it starts replace the CD with your burned CD. Thats the only way I can get my old CDROM to work with anything I have burned.
Replace your CDROM with a new one and it should work just fine.
