hello comp gurus,

i have nero express and want to burn a copy of my XP home edition CD, but when i try to make it a bootable cd, it tells me to insert a bootable floppy diskette to work from. when i try to 'burn entire cd', it says it's copywrited. well duh, but i want to make it a bootable cd so i can boot to recovery console. does anyone have nero express and know how to do this? thanks gurus. czt

If you have a legal version of Win XP, just do a plain no frills "copy entire disk" with Nero Express.

Wombat,
I tried that with a Knoppix disk and it did say disk is copyrighted but it copied it anyway. It does make a bootable disk that way. I didn't know that. Thank you , See I learn something new everyday from this forum.

An easier way, again this only applies in the US as the UK laws are different.

If you own a legal copy you are allowed to make a back up copy in the US, best way it to use Clone CD/DVD this will make an exact copy for you.

The program is sharewear though.
