Comment:

I had a homemade video, the size is 1.2GB, avi format. I want to burn it into two 700MB disc. However, i do not know how to cut the video into half. Do anyone knows any easy way to put this video into 2 disc of 700MB?

I no need to watch them in VCD-player, just able to watch in my PC will do, hence i no need to convert into mpeg, am i right?

For raw AVI files.
Just for PC files, suggest windows media encoder. FREE.

There is a newer version at the official MS site.
End file will most likely fit on 1 cd, with very decent compression.
Google for:
Virtual dub does this to, a little more complicated, free. Can achieve great compression with divx codec.

The Vidomi player/encoder uses xvid (divx backwards) free, and does excellent compression, use google for search.
