i have 2495 build, and the built in burning software doesnt work. Im used to using CDRWs & Direct CD, so could someone explain exactlt how to get this working. Im using Easy Cd creator 5 ATM, and if i open it i get a couldnt find CDR4 error?! Should i uninstall Easy CD? Also, do i have to use standard CDRs, or can i use CDRWs with the built in feature, and if so can the inbuilt software behave like direct cd, so that i can copy & delete files on the cd like any other drive?? Thanks

I get the same error messages on Easy CD Creator 5.
Disc Juggler and CDRWin rcording software works very good

Easy CD Creator 5 works fine in XP as long as you don't have DirectCD and Take2 installed. You can use CDRW with the built in CD burning in XP, it works just like DirectCD.

Alright listen:
Don't bother with the the Xp burner it sucks, it is slow and produces errors. You CAN Use Easy Cd Creator 5.0 BUT you MUST only install easy cd creator. NOTHING else (such as take two, sound stream, direct cd.) other than that just use Nero it works fine. :D

Using WinOnCD 3.8 - Power Edition, I get no error, and it's working great.
This is in my opinion the best burning software I ever see.

i read somewhere that if you use adaptec in xp you have to disable xp's burner, for me everything else works well, and besides, forgotten is right xp's burner isn't very good. both cdr and cdrw work with it, again not well, i had a couple of instances where after going through all the motions a cdrw still was not erased, although xp claimed success, nero seems to be the best i've found.

I use winoncd 3.8 in windows 98 and love it but can't get it to work in winxp ver 2600
It keeps restarting my system when Ever I tell it to actuallly burn..I have no clue why my system keeps restarting...can anyone help

Like the previous guy said,
How do you disable the built-in xp burning?
I unchecked the only properties setting in the recording tab and it still has a driver conflict.

Having issues here as well. I don't think it's possible to disable the built in burner.
NERO does NOT work fine. After I installed Nero, I lost both my drives (DVD-R CD-RW)
This is a huge issue right now. I've spoken with several people that say NERO works.. (not for me) and several that say easy cd creator works (Not for me)... eeee heeemmmm
anyhow... the people over at Easy say another "few" weeks before an "official update" is available.
They will only offer support for version 5.x and above for XP
I would just suffer for now and wait
