I am getting a BUGCODE_USB_DRIVER error using XP Pro, on an Intel P4 system... I have gotten this same code on two seperate systems that I have recently set up... I do not understand where this is coming from. The only item that was common (USB) in both systems, is my cable modem... Each system had different motherboards, processors and memory. Both also used an Nvidia FX5900 video card... If I go to the Device Manager and check the Intel USB controller "properties", "do not report errors" box, then the system runs fine, but I start getting other types of errors... I imagine due to the problem still being there... I have never had this happen on any of the 3 AMD systems I have built, using the Same cable modem and modem drivers... Anyone got a clue on this one? I suspect the "intel usb" drivers are the culprit, but what else would I use, they are the same ones for both motherboards, so I figure it's "stock Intel".... Any help would be appreciated... If you need more info, just let me know. I'm new to posting online... |
