Hi all.
I recently installed the latest windows updates offered to me (not SP2), and it caused repeated BSoD's after logging into Windows on two separate machines.
The BS Error: STOP: 0x0000007F (0x0000000D, 0x00000000, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)
I don't know if there's a way to figure out exactly which update caused it so I can uninstall it. I don't know how else to fix this - My drivers, including chipset drivers, are up to date, my RAM is fine... I've read all the windows support articles for the error - and I'm pretty certain this is a software issue...
Check the System Log in Event Viewer for additional error messages that might help pinpoint the device or driver that is causing the error.
have you recently added any hardware? overclocking? make sure you have the right ram and it is good. Please keep us updated so we know if we helped you or not.

Thank you - I think I figured out what the problem was. I had a modified boot.ini file on both computers. While that didn't cause the system to crash on its own, apparently it somehow conflicted with the most recent Windows Update I installed. I restored the boot.ini file on the 2nd PC back to its original state and the problem was gone. I wish I had figured out what the issue was before I re-installed Windows on the 1st machine.
