Anyone have any idea why I can't open Newegg.com on one of my computers. I tried using ie and also firefox. Neither will open Newegg.com. My other computer on the network can open Newegg but it runs a bit slow and not all pages will load all the time. Is there some setting somewhere that is preventing it. All other websites seem to load fine.

Are you typing it in the address box or using a link from favorites or bookmarks? I normally use a link so I just tried typing Newegg.com in the Address box and it opened just fine. You could use tools in IE to make Newegg a trusted site. IE> tools> internet options> security.

I always type in the address in the address bar. The browser just hangs... Then returns this message:
# The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few
moments.# If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network
connection.# If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.
I haven't noticed any problems with any other websites, just Newegg. It's very strange. I've tried adding it as a trusted site, still not able to get there.
I have a Linksys router with firewall, but have always been able to get to anything. The only other firewall is the windows firewall. Other than that I use ad-aware and spybot.

I have noticed this very very strange problem with other website that I use often.I also used router at that time. Upon contacting my ISP they advised me to use tracert command to find out. My problem was at many times I cant access that specific site but at some times only it would load without problems.
So, I will also advise to use
'tracert www.newegg.com' (without ') in command prompt
If its able to complete the trace then you shouldnt have any problems.
