I'm running Firefox 3.0.10 and I went to look at a Lawnmower manual from a Yahoo search. When i clicked on it I automatically downloaded something and from that point on I hear browser clicking noises now even when I don't have my browser up. Another thing is that now that I do a yahoo search I get sent to something else after clicking on the link. the search bar on the yahoo search home page looks weird, the window only shows have the of the letters. I have ran Hijack this and use the analyze website that is advised by computing.net. All of them have green check marks. I also tried running Spybot and adware and nothing happens. I tried malware software mbam, exe but it will not install, it freezes. can someone please help me get my computer clean, if not i will have to reinstall windows XP. thanks

Already tried the easiest thing?
Click on Start / Run and type in CMD.
In the comming up window type
ipconfig /flushdns (hit enter)
arp -d (hit enter)Start the browser and try again.
Please send a reply, if you solved the problem !!!

It empties the Adress Resolution Protocol Cache, but generates no output to screen.
Checked, whether you get redirected further more?
