I'm having a frustrating problem in which my browser mysteriously crashes when I click on certain links to go certain web pages. It doesn't do it frequently. It has been occuring occasionally when I click on links to particular web pages that cause this for some reason thus preventing me from using some web pages. I have both the IE web browser as well as Mozilla Firebird and this problem has been afflicting both of them.

When this problem I occurs I first get the following error message that pops up..... "Sysfader:IEXPLORE.EXE - Application Error" "The instruction at "0x63584de4" referenced memory at "0x0000004c". The memory cound not be "read"." "Click on OK to terminate the program."

That's the error message I get and then I have to click on ok and the browser closes after crashing there. Anyone have any ideas? Please help if you do.

You've been hacked. Run cwshredder and spyblaster and spybot S&D. Then don't use IE again. Why? Microsoft's IE maintains a minimum of 12 user activity databases. These files are known as either MM256.DAT, MM2048.DAT and Index.dat files. One of each is kept in ALL of the personal folders - the History, cookies (hidden completely), and in each of your four cache folders (also hidden). The cookies and cache folders are not the only records MSIE keeps on your internet activities. Additionally, if you use MSIE's mail and news, everything you read and see is also recorded in other databases within MSIE. A good deal of information is also stored in the registry where your file system cannot get at it. So you will have to think about and cleaning all that information, including the databases and the information in the registry files.

Use Firefox or opera.
