Not sure anyone, or this site, will be able to help/answer my problem. I'm using a Brother MFC-442oc Printer/Scanner etc.,it was working fine until I changed the ink cartridge/s. Now I get the error message #41, pull plug and contact Brother Tech. Well they were no help, out of warranty, their only suggested solution failed. Which by the way was pull the plug and try again. Great company. I've tried reinstalling ink cartidges again without any success. I've also uninstalled/reinstalled all necessary software, no good. Please advise.
It sounds like a design flaw which is why they extended the warranty per the link above. Talk to them again because design flaws should never have anything to do with warranties. If the first person doesn't help, write them a letter preclude to taking legal action.

Thank you for the replies. As you stated, nothing promising. I'll try calling/squauking and see what happens. Again, thanks.
