You have to determine if its your connection to the router or the routers connection to the internet that is the problem.

Start by going into the nics properties and disable any power saving features.

Next time the "internet drops" see if you can IE into your router. If you can you know the issue isn't with your pc. Next see if you can run the diagnotics or "test" of the wan for connection.

Post back your results

Frequently (but not always) one gets droppped off the system because one has not properly configured the wifi (including router wifi settings) devices correctly...

With this in mind... check out some of the suggestions in the post immediately above this one...

Hello

I think it has been sorted, i hadn't set up my router properly & i had a prob with windows, luckily my brother has set up his own wireless network so was able to sort mine out, he has updated my windows & that also helped sort the prob.

Thanks

Every time my SBC DSL connection crashes, I have to do a system recovery with discs, and this last time, my computer Presario refused to reset to the correct ISP Address, even when I do the "ipconfig/reset", "ipconfig/renew" thing. I need to be able to do some DOS command like, "reset IP Address= (correct DSL address), because currently it is only doing a dial-up, which is slow, not what I am paying for, and has to be re-established every time I try to log in rather than continuing in between uses to strengthen the connection.
