Comment:

I have broadband internet access through a router (gateway=81.187.204.161) that works fine

However I need to use an ISDN connection for work - as soon as I connect via ISDN I lose my broadband internet access (gateway for ISDN connection is 131.4.8.216)

Is there a way I can keep access to both ?
I have seen references to route add to enable multiple gateways but can't seem to get it working
