Ok i would like to bridge my internet connection to another computer of mine. This is how i have my computers set up.
(internet)-----[R]-----[xp])))((([98]
[R]=router [xp]=computer with xp pro [98]=computer with 98se
ok my situation is that i have bridged the connection using the program that come with the wifi addapters. I can get the internet on [98] using this setup. However, using this setup it says that the connection has limited or no conectivity, and it wont let me share files or play lan games for some reason. And because of this i would like to not use the program that comes with the wifi addapters. I would like to use the standard win xp configuration thing. (in the win 98 computer i have to use the program that came with it because it doesnt have a wifi configuration tool) I can get the computers to connect to each other using the regular windows configuration utility. On the win XP computer i selected both the wired and wireless connections, right clicked on them and clicked bridge. It now shows a bridged netowrk in my network places, however it wont let me connect to the internet using the win 98 computer.
how do i set this up using only the regular windows utility on the win xp computer?
