Hi everyone,

I used to have a dual boot system XP and 98. Recently I have removed 98. Now everytime I turn on my pc on, I still get the option to select which system to boot up. I have tried to find the boot.ini file to remove it but it doesn't seem to exist after I did a search.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Jase.

First of all, boot.ini is a hidden file residing in the root directory of the system partition.

Second, if you remove boot.ini, your system will no longer boot.

What are you trying to do?

In Windows Explorer, Tools - Folder Options - View tab, put a check in Show hidden files + folders.
