When I boot into windows xp home, the process stops to give me the option of selecting user to boot into. I only use the one user which is administrator.
How can I make windows boot to the desktop without stopping at the select a user to boot to screen?

Basically, I don't think you can. At least, I never have been able to.
A positive attitude won't solve all your problems, but it will annoy just enough people to be worth the effort.

Open the control panel and user accounts. Click "the way users sign on and off". Put a check mark in "use the welcome screen and remove the check mark from "use fast user switching.
You can also download Tweak UI and set it for autologon.
