I recently got a new video card and when I installed it I kept receiving plenty of issues so I decided to just reformat my computer. I stored all my drivers and such on the second HD. But now after the reformat and reinstall, I cannot boot to Windows XP Pro if it is attached. The only way to get into Windows is to make sure that the second HD is not running. When it is connected the screen just stays black after the BIOS stuff.
I am think that maybe it is trying to boot from the second HD instead, but in the BIOS I set it to boot from the other and I set it so it won't even try to go to that one.
I also tried the second HD in another computer andi it worked perfectly, no issues booting or retrieving data.

It always amazes me how many people use formatting as a method of troubleshooting...lol
2nd HDD will work best on the 2ndary channel, not paired up with HDD w/OS...make sure the jumpers are set correctly

I was overdue for a format anyway, I have been habing some other Windows issues anyway. And trust me, I spent hours trying to fix the issues with the card.
Anyway, the HDs are not on the same channel and the jumpers are quite correct. BIOS reads 'em both fine.
I can't help thinking that there is an option in the BIOS that I am neglecting.
