Comment:

I need to run a diagnostic program on my Dell laptop and I do not have the floppy drive anymore. I have two other systems though with burners and was wondering how to put this dos utility on a dos bootable cd and have it boot up and run exactly as a floppy would. This is probably an easy question and has probably been answered, but I'm kind of in a hurry to get this fixed. Thanks
BTW I'm using NERO on the other systems, and was wondering if it's possible just to emulate a floppy on cd.

Or try the Ultimate Boot CD I've found it to be a good source just as BartPE has been for me as well.

Ultimate Boot CD

Best of luck!

Open nero express, go>> Data >> Bootable data disk. Have your startup disk in the floppy drive. Also have the rest of the files ready to burn to the disk. Add these files, and then click Next....ect...ect.

If you've used nero before, I think it will be self evident.

Good Luck,

I'll bet it even tells this, in the nero manual ;-)

UBC is good. Bart has good info.
Nero on other machines can make a bootable CD.

In linux or mac or beos you could make any number of custom CD with track 1 being boot and track 2 being diags. Track one could be any type of bootable floppy copy if you use cat command to file as raw device.
