Hi ! Could someone advise me on how to create a bootable CD rom for Windows XP. I tried to copy the NTLDR, NTDETECT.com and the BOOT.INI files onto a CD. This did not work. The main reason I need this is so that I can run some recovery tools off the CD and try to burn some of my valuable data from my failed hard-disk onto CDs. I would be very grateful to anyone who can help me out with this problem !

The XP install CD is bootable. Don't really understand your problem. Have you tried recovery console? How failed is your hard disk? Is it the only one you've got?
