I am trying to use the program partition magic to make another partition out of my C:\ to install chinese windows 98 SE, but for some reason parition magic prompt and ask if i want to create the partition as a bootable or non-bootable? Which one should I be choosing? in C:\ i have already installed Win98SE but i am making another partitioned drive for CWin98SE, therefore does anyone know what i should be choosing or tell me the difference between a bootable and non-bootable partition?

Thanks in advance!

Make it bootable, because a non-bootable partition can't be set to "active" what it needs to boot from.

I think you should make it bootable because you would have to boot your computer from this new installation of Windows 98. I'm guessing that bootable means that you can start (boot) the computer from that partition and non-bootable means you can't. I think bootable would be what you would pick if you're installing an OS on it and non-bootable would be if you're not.

Ok, i made it bootable and it occurs that i have a hidden partition thats FAT32.
In the first hard drive right now I have win98SE and Chinese Win98SE. I can't access the english win98SE after I set Chinese Win98SE active for install last time. What can i do to use to switch back to win98SE? instead of booting into CWIN98SE? Also if i did install these OSes this way will XP be able to detect and create a tri-boot in this case?

PLeaes help me out.

Thanks
