Howdy,
For the past couple of weeks my computer has been dying on me. About a month ago while I was using it the screen started flashing on and off every three seconds for about 15 seconds, then the screen turned blue, whith no text, and then shut off. I tried restarting and everthing worked fine. Then about a week later it happend again, but when I tred restarting it went only to the screen with the Pentium Processor symbol, it didnt get to the POST screen. I turned it off and reset the bios and it worked fine again. Then a couple of days later it happend again, but reseting the bios didnt work. Sometimes when I try to start it, it dosent effect the monitor, at all, but the fans still start and the lights on the front of the case come on.
If anyone has any comments or suggestions it would be greatly sppriciated.

Fred Langa cleans the dirtiest PC he can find, and along the way shows you how you can easily tackle yours.

Well, today I messed with it awhile trying to start it up, and its working fine again! Go figure. I did a system restore, a disk clean up, and defragged it. Any one have and suggestions to keep it from dying on me again?

The basics are.
Keep the inside clean to stop overheating.
Keep it free of virii, trojans, spyfiles.
Keep it free of temp files.
Use Google for researching.

Seeks out the rubbish left behind by other programs. Use regularly it will save space. It can auto run at times set by you. Cleans automatically at boot up.
Or, ( dos'nt hurt to use both )
XP
Auto Delete Temporary Folder
http://www.tweakxp.com/display.aspx?id=2021
First go into gpedit.msc ( only available in the Pro version of XP )
Start > Run, type in > gpedit.msc & press Enter.
Next select -> Computer Configuration/Administrative Templates/Windows Components/Terminal Services/Temporary Folder
Then right click "Do Not Delete Temp Folder Upon Exit"
Go to properties and hit disable.
Now next time Windows puts a temp file in that folder it will automatically delete it when its done!
