I have to turn on my computer and then turn it off (at the power strip) and then turn it on again to boot up Win XP.
I don't think it is an adware problem or virus because I reformated and installed from scratch.
Thanks

Check power-plug connections on the cable to the PC; check the internal connections are secure (especially the PSU connections. Check all interanal connections - carefully.
You might have a PSU problem in that one of capacitors is going down; typically electolytics (presuming there are some inside the PSU) can exhibit this symptom - at least they did in the days of yore when I worked at bench/component level. A switch on/off then on again resealed a developing internal leak/breakdown and allowed the capactor to function a while longer - before it fianally died... Also dry joints on the Mobo; cracks in traces there too could be a cause...

Also, you may want to check your MoBo for leaking capacitors - there was a rash of them sold last year with bad electrolytic solution. Check for bulbous caps or rust around the base.
Also, do you have to go through the same reboot process if you are plugged directly into the wall? I hate to be obvious, but it may be the surge protector.

I have just build me a brand new pc. Specs are Biostar M7NCD nforce2 Pro Motherboard
AMD Athlon 2000+
384 DDR PC2100 RAM
Maxtor 40 GB 7200rpm
Onboard Audio
GeForce 4 MX400 64 SDRAMThe Problem is that I do a clean install of windows xp pro and after the formatting and copying files THAN IT REBOOTS and it gives me a stop Errror c0000221 Bad Image Checksum
The image wldap32.dll is possibly corrupt.
The header checksum does not match the
computed checksum.
I replaced the ram and harddrive to see if that was the problem BUT IT WASNT.
WHAT COULD THE PROBLEM BE??????
I GETTING FRUSTRATED REALLY BAD......LOL
COULD IT BE MY VIDEO CARD OR POSSIBLY MY CD-ROM DRIVE?????
PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!1

This is a tough one, and we seem to have had a spate of cases like this lately in the lab. Have you updated your BIOS? I know it sounds crazy since XP has been out for so long, but it may help. Also, try strippng the PC down to its bare components, and see if the problem recurs.
