Specs: Windows XP
I have a PC which makes a continuous beep but this happens after the bios check, wasnt able to get past it at first but now after I loaded optimal settings on the motherboard when I press enter it skips it. Nothing appears on the screen when it beeps to indicate what it could be. Could anyone give me ideas to find out why its beeping? Its an intel board

BIOS Beep Codes and their interpretation. You need to know which BIOS you have on your PC:

When everything else fails, read the instructions.

thanks for the links. Having read them, my pc does the normal 1 beep (everything OK??), then continues to boot and 5-10 secs later gives me the long beep which I can now skip past. Unfortunately I can't see anything about 1 short beep and 1 long beep. Will try and get the make and model of the board/BIOS as I know that will help a lot. Was just hoping someone may of experienced something slightly like this before
