Greetings. I thought{Loose term}, I Knew how to do this! I have 2 seperate hd's. The one has XP Home on it. The other Has Vista 5600. I am attempting to be able....to Start the PC, bring up the Screen to choose which to run. I have done the Partitioning of a single hd, and could choose which os to start, but I guess I have not attempted to boot to a choice of 2 different hd's. By the way, I have loaded and operated each hd's (seperately as Masters) before hooking {BOTH} up together on this same PC.i TRULY THINK? I am making this too hard.maybe jumper setings, maybe BIOS ? Thank You -ez

Well, sure - that is what that kind of software is for
If you'd planned this out, and installed XP, then Vista, you wouldn't have required a separate boot loader
If I know the answer I'll tell you the answer, and if I don't, I'll just respond, cleverly

Echoing jboy:
With a little forethought/planning you could probably have done it without an add-in util - still could for that matter?
Presuming Vista operates the same way as XP/W2K then if that drive was Master and the XP set as Slave, all one might need to do is to add a line to the Vista boot.ini pointing to the XP drive/partition...
And the easiest way to do that would be to copy the appropriate entry from the XP boot.ini to the Vista boot.ini, then chnge the rdisk(0) entry for that line to read rdisk(1).
This does presume (on my part) that Vista operates in terms of the boot-loader/boot.ini as XP/W2K. Not having used Vista (yet) I am consequently theorising here...
