Hi! windows xp pro (swedish) problem 1: I try to boot my computer with a bootable xp CD. I opened setup and changed boot from hard disc to CD ROM but it dose not work. I can boot it with floppy (6 floppy disks which I downloaded from MS's home page), but how can I boot the pc without 6 floppy disks.is it possible or not? problem 2: After booting I try to formate the hard disk but the computer dose not accept another xp CD ,just asks about xp pro swedish version which I have lost. how do I fixe it?

have you gone into bios and set it back to factory defaults??

When you tried to boot from the CD were you watching the monitor closely? You will get a message that says to hit a keyboard key if you want to boot from the CD. You only have a couple of seconds to respond, and if you aren't fast enough it goes on to boot from the hard drive.

Another thing to know is that some computers will ignore the XP CD if you already have XP on the computer. Newer computers will not but the white Dell Inspirons would do that. I had to install Windows 2000 on several computers, then but the XP CD in and install XP. It's really funky but I think that was a cheap Dell computer with a inferior BIOS.

Hi! my problem: I can boot my pc with (6 floppy) I can formate and install win xp pro(swedish version)but I can not install win 2000 or win pro (english version)because the pc asks about win xp pro(swedish)and dosn't accept othre windows. How do I delete every thing from my hard disk and install win 2000 or win pro (english version)? is it possible that I boot my pc with a floopy (not 6 floppy) , with a floopy like win 98 start disk.
