I have a computer on auto reboot. When it rebooted last time it came back up to the desktop background and no tool bar or icons, can't do a thing. Tried it in safe mode with the same results. Any ideas on where to start or what to do next? It didn't have any disks or cd's in it during the boot. Thanks.

Waht was the last thing you did? Add software or hardware? Could be something partially uninstalled Windows is looking for...Are your Windows updates current and what is your antivirus and is it currently updated?
What prevention do you use against spyware, the # 1 enemy of home users these days?

Thanks for your help. It turned out it was a problem with some software that lost shell.exe or something. A guy was able to go in in safe mode and dos and find it and fix it. I appreciate you guys helping out like you do. moose
