Recently I purchased my second WD Raptor (A very nice 10,000 RPM SATA Drive). I placed the new drive into my SATA 2 position and placed a Legacy power plug into it (my previously bought Raptor is placed in SATA 1 with a SATA Power plug). (My motherboard is a MSI Neo4 Platinum with nForce4 Ultra)
I then went to reinstall Windows XP Professional on the drives (set as a RAID 0). The 1st step of the installation worked flawlessly - my RAID drivers seemed to load into the XP install easily and the RAID setup rang up properly and formatted properly as well. I insert my CD Key, passwords, etc. easily and without problems, as well.
The problem occurs after this 1st step of installation. Windows reboots so that it may enter the actual Windows environment, but whenever it reaches the point where you normally would see the Windows XP Professional logo loading, it REBOOTS.
A day or two ago, I had it working fine, but received a BSOD error (Blue Screen of Death) and decided to update my BIOS, so I did a reinstall of Windows anyway.
I have attempted to downgrade and upgrade the BIOS on my motherboard to solve this rebooting problem since it began (again, it's a MSI Neo4 Platinum with nForce4 Ultra - I attempted the 1.6 BIOS and the 1.9 BIOS).

I am curious as to why this may be happening.
The only vague ideas I have at the moment are that I am using Legacy power on one hard drive and SATA Power on another (but it shouldn't make a difference).

Ever think it may be another issue?

Have you tested the hardware in the PC?

Test the drives, RAM and so on.
